![]() I have installed Limewire Pro 4.0.4. It is set to run on Windows startup. I get an error message titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" and which says "Assertion failed! Program: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2.04\bin\javaw.exe File: ../../../src/share/native/sun/awt/.../fontObject.cpp Line: 506 Expression: errio == 0 && count == (size.t) size For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts (Press Retry to debug the application - JIT must be enabled) Abort Retry Ignore" I don't understand what the problem is exactly. I did not know that I had any Visual C++ Runtime files but I suppose they are installed with the o/s. Limewire seems to run ok after I click ignore but I don't know for certain. I am using Windows XP Pro SP1, I regurly use Microsoft update feature and install all suggested patches etc. I am connected to the net by cable broadband. My antivirus dat files are up to date and I am using the paid for version of Zonelabs firewall. I have attached a copy of the error message in jpeg format. |
