Uninstalling Limewire

Hi

I keep getting random error messages about bugs in my Limewire programme when I am using other applications. As I do not use Limewire I want to uninstall it ....however when I try to uninstall it from add/remove programmes I am getting an error message saying access denied and I am not being allowed to uninstall. I would apprecatiate if someone could advise me on the best way to uninstall this programme. I am running Windows XP Pro and I have a broadband internet connection.
