Installation freezes as it trys to uninstall previous version I'm new to limewire and just downloaded it tonight. I somehow messed up the installation (i havent got a clue how), but stupidly deleted the files instead of uninstalling limewire. Now, when i try to install limewire, it tries to remove a previous version (eventhough i deleted all limewire files off my pc). It says it is trying to execute the uninstall file, but of course there is no uninstall file. Having read some of the other threads, i was wondering if using the beta thing would solve this problem, but i dont really know what it is or how it differs to limewire, or are there any other solutions? Im running windows xp (sorry, but i cant go anymore detailed than that) |
try going to 1)start 2)control panel 3) add or remove programs if it is listed highlight and click remove. The only other alternative I would suggest is to restore to a point prior to the initial installation of LimeWire. You probably have a registry entry that the new installation keeps seeing. |
Thanx very much Its working now |
