And you deleted LW's preferences folder?! Did you reboot? It could be a registry issue. Do you have a registry cleaner: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...232#post121232
WHilst you're at it check your system over & do a defrag. For a program not to open means something's not right in the system.
