Same Situation

I'm having the exact same problem. I downloaded and installed it and it was working fine. Then the next time I went to use it nothing happened when I clicked on the icon. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and clicked on the final icon and nothing happened. Someone please advise!

Same trouble here

I'm having the same problems as the others here are. I have tried repeatedly to install and uninstall, nothing seems to get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have a read around the other threads about similar topics.

None of the solutions have worked. I've tried downloading the suggested Java programs. Nothing. I've tried the list of solutions posted in aother thread. Nothing. I've tried uninstalling, re-installing. Nothing. Older versions. Nothing. I'm at my wit's end. What is going on? Why was the earlier edition working fine, and now, after updating, it's not even opening when I click on the icon on my desktop?

Instead of opening via shortcut, then go to LW's program folder & open the program directly. Shortcuts can become corrupted. If it opens then delete the older shortcut & create a new one. Have you also tried deleting LW's older prferences folder? Instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

Hmmm just an idea some users were having screen problems with LW.

It seem that some of them had made some video or display adjustments recently that they had forgot about.

Have any of you done this. Might make sure your video drivers are up to date.

It may have nothing to do with your problem, but just thought I might mention it.

getting frustrated

I'm getting really frustrated with this whole thing. I have gone thru every post I could find on how to get this thing to work and it just won't!! I click on it and nothing. I've installed this on two other pc's and have had no trouble before. Am I just not going to be able to run this or what. Some one please help. You may contact me at radarseesallhh on yahoo messenger if it would be easier. Thanks

So did you read my last post or not? Other alternative is to use the 'Other' installer which all you need to do is unzip & use. See 'Other' installer (click on me) As I said, shortcuts are unreliable!
