Your version of your Gnutella Client (* this is important for helping solve problems) ....... Your Internet connection (56K, Cable, DSL) ....... The exact error message, if one pops up Any other relevant information that you think may help ....... Try to make your post descriptive, specific, and clear so members can quickly and efficiently help you. To aid helpers in solving download/upload problems, LimeWire and Frostwire users must specify whether they are downloading a torrent file or a file from the Gnutella network. Members need to supply these details >>> System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) Moderators There are senior members on the forums who serve as Moderators. These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. Bans cannot be removed by the moderators and probably won't be removed by the administration. The Rules 1. Warez, copyright violation, or any other illegal activity may NOT be linked or expressed in any form. Topics discussing techniques for violating these laws and messages containing locations of web sites or other servers hosting illegal content will be silently removed. Multiple offenses will result in consequences. File names are not required to discuss your issues. If filenames are copyright then do not belong on these forums & will be edited out or post removed. Picture sample attachments in posts must not include copyright infringement. 2. Spamming and excessive advertising will not be tolerated. Commercial advertising is not allowed in any form, including using in signatures. 3. There will be no excessive use of profanity in any forum. 4. There will be no racial, ethnic, or gender based insults, or any other personal attacks. 5. Pictures may be attached to posts and signatures if they are not sexually explicit or offensive. Picture sample attachments in posts must not include copyright infringement. 6. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. There are specific Gnutella Client sections for LimeWire, Phex, FrostWire, BearShare, Gnucleus, Morpheus, and many more. Please choose the correct section for your problem. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. Keep in mind a forum censor may temporarily automatically hold up your post, if you do not see your post, do not post again, it will be dealt with by a moderator within a reasonable time. Authors of multiple copies of same post may be dealt with by moderators within their discrete judgment at the time which may result in warning or infraction points, depending on severity as adjudged by the moderators online. 10. Posts should have descriptive topics. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. Reiterating, do not post your email address in posts. This is for your own protection. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit or used for commercial advertising. Commercial weblinks cannot be used under any circumstances and will result in an immediate ban. 13. Dual accounts are not allowed. Cannot explain this more simply. Attempts to set up dual accounts will most likely result in a banning of all forum accounts. 14. Video links may only be posted after you have a tally of two forum posts. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues.  pro not installing My problem is I paid money for pro but there not letting me download the full version. Your supposed to pay for it then get an email on instructions on how to download it. I was given instructions to log int my account and then I would be able to install the pro version. Well when doing that it asked me to pay for it again. Even though I was already charged. I sent them eamils about it to the tech support for this product they never even answered me or did anything to fix the problem. Anyone else had the same problem with this company as I have.  |

| I did go to that site and paid 70 dollars for it it comes out to that price when converted to canadian dollars. On top of that they charged me twice. They will not be seing anymore money from me. It took me 3 weeks to dispute the charge with my credit card. According to me I should get the full version free for the crap they put me through. I'm mostly putting this thread on here so maybee other people will read this before paying to get it and not give them a dime. A company that will rip off a paying customer does not deserve to have customers at all. Especially considering I sent them an email telling them about this problem. No response at all I even gave my phone number and gave other options for them to expalin themselves. But was ignored I actually wonder if them saying useing there software is legal. As paying to do something elegal sucks. If I want to do something elegal I'll do it for free. I thing there lying about this because they lied to me. There site was saying if I paid for a service I would get it and that was not the truth. They did'nt even care that there mess up was costing me money. THey have no 1 800 number so what option did they leave me. I just 2 days ago got refunded by my credit card for this money. My advise to anyone reading this don't buy lime wire or anything else they provide. Because there treatment of customers sucks. |

| Oh oh!!!! You have been scammed!!! You paid $70 for the free version of LW!!!!!!! Yes I would cancel the transaction ASAP. That was not Limewire who you paid the money to! See if you can find the culprit from this list: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...879#post119879 If not there then please post their site address here so I can add it to the above address. LW Pro only costs US $18.80 so in Canada it won't be that much more when converted. Lesson learnt I think. Sorry to hear your situation. It's normally recommended you start off with the FREE version of LW & if you then decide you'd like the pro version, then pay for LW Pro. |

| Are you kidding me people actually do that. Also I did cancel it but it took a while to get my money back. It still proves my point that limewire is not good to there customers. Why are they not looking into this stuff. Especially when I told them about the problem. They still did nothing to help me. It's there responsibility to make sure there site is safe for customers to purchase services and actually get what they pay for. Even if I was scammed I'm not going to try to buy it again. If they wanted me as a customer they should of done something when they were informed of the problem. If you ask me lime wire sucks the company that makes it sucks. I'm realy pissed off about this. |

| That's what I did I tried it I liked it and went to buy it. I was told on that site it was 50 dollars us not 18. SO why did they not look into it when I told them my problem. Do they honestly think I will pay for there software if I already got burned trying to buy it? No thye lost my buisness because they did'nt seem to care that I was being ripped off. I've had this happen to me before.It happened when I bought win xp. But when I contacted microsoft about it they did something about it they did'nt just ignore me. It has also happened to me with games I bought online and those companies as well looked into it. The company that made lime wire does'nt seem to give a crap about there customers. |

| Why would Limewire help you? You never bought LW pro from them. You bought it from a scam site that has nothing to do with LW, & they just gave you a link to where to downld the free version. You only have the free version not the Pro version. If it were the Pro version then on the menu under Help>About LW it would say LW Pro! So don't go blaming LW for your own stupidity of being caught out in a scam. That link above, the very last one I gave you shows similar scam sites that do the same thing against LW, Bearshare, Shareaze, Morpheus, etc. all of them!!!! So I'm sorry to hear you got scammed but it's your own problem & has nothing to do with the LimeWire company. |
