Default Can't Install -- Java Issue

I run XP SP2 and Limewire has worked fine for as long as I can remember. Suddenly, I got some kind of java error message so I uninstalled java and LW and reinstalled java. Now, when I try to reinstall LW, I get the attached error message when I try to open LW for the first time. It then shuts down. I never make it to the main LW screen. Any ideas appreciated!

Oh, wait. Now I see that I can't post attachments. Well, first it says "internal error," with the details shown below, then it says "fatal error" in a window bearing a java logo.

LimeWire version 4.8.1
Java version 1.5.0_02 from Sun Microsystems Inc.
Windows XP v. 5.1 on x86

You're using the Java 1.5 part 2 update. I don't know but are you supposed to have Java 1.5_01 installed 1st?

I might suggest you uninstall java using the add/remove control panel. Then downld the Java installer & save it to your computer (don't install it over the net!!!) Then install it. You can find a link here: Fixes for Limewire It might not be applicable but it might be worth deleting your LW preferences folder also.
