Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

When you uninstall LW it will not uninstall the preferences folder, the downld & incomplete folders. So if you no longer have LW on your computer, close down all other programs & then try deleting the folder in question. If still no success then see: http://ask-leo.com/why_cant_i_delete_this_file.html
