Unhappy What the @#!^

I seem to have attained some sort of something in one of my downloads.
I'm new to Limewire so the problem may have been addressed long ago or just can't be helped.

Symptoms:
1.Limewire start's on it own repeatedly.
2.Limewire is sharing a "Uploads" folder and a "Complete" folder that seem's to be hidden and contains many files that are not mine.
3.My task manager seems to be disabled.

I have 4.8.1 on XP.

Is there a solution?.

Thanks for any help.
