Red face Changing Options

I cannot change my options to have LW not start up upon system start. I want to start it myself because when automatic and sometimes have crash, causes me more probs. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Maybe I should report this as a bug????

Appreciate any feedbank,

Tools>Options>Advanced>System startup & untick option & press apply. If this doesn't work then you probably have a virus. Check the sticky threads about that. Particularly in the windows section.

If I go to tools-options-advanced, nothing happens; it's blocked! Also uploads, view, searching and filters are blocked. How can I change that? Can anybody help me? Thank you!

mmg do you mean you can't change the options? If that's the case then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire Also make sure you have at least Java 1.4.2 or otherwise Java 1.5 You can find this out by going to the menu bar>Help>About LW & this will tell you both the LW & Java versions. (Don't forget to press apply after changing any options in LW!)

If you have changed options to stop auto startup then you should see this: LimeWire continually Popping up every few seconds & also Opening at System Startup

I did the things you said but I still can't change some of the options. I did remove LW in documents and settings and I did remove LW in add/remove programs. Than I reinstalled LW.
I do have Java version 1.5.0_04.
I still have the same problem; some options (the one's with an ">") are blocked. When I click on one, for example uploads, nothing happens, I can't see what I can change, so I can't change it. I hope you know what I mean and I hope you can help me. THANK YOU!!!

ah ... you click on the arrow because it represents another menu. Click on the arrow & it will then point down & other options will show. Just as it is in the LW Library window if you are sharing folders within folders there will be an arrow you need to click to open that folder within.
