how to uninstall limewire basic?
 

Ive already went into add/remove programs and removed Limewire. I also removed shortcut. I did this because my power went out when I was almost done installing Limewire. When I try to reinstall the program it says there is currently another version running would I like to abort, retry or cancel??

Id say I was between beginner/intermediate user of computer systems. Its really frustrating me and I need to know if someone could give me step by step instructions about uninstalling and then reinstalling??:confused:

AFAIK Add/Remove programs is not the way to uninstall the present version of LW. It might have only partially uninstalled it. (BTW the normal process to uninstall LW is Start menu>Progs>LW>Uninstall.)

1. Reboot your computer or else, Control+Alt+Delete & bring up the process manager. Find Limewire on the list & kill the process.

2. Download Java: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...radejava.shtml (preferable to downld installer to your computer & then install it. Not to install over the net!) Then install Java.

3. Install LW.
