v4.12 fails to complete install

Have used Limewire for years w/ no problems. Before reinstalling XPpro the current version, 4.12, worked flawlessly. After rebuilding (changing nothing but adding a partition to HD), Limewire doesn't complete the install. I get a window that says I need to configure my Firewire (EZ Trust), but nothing to check or any boxes to continue. Beneath that window is a screen saying Limewire is trying to load the HTML engine, but there it hangs. I used the current installer program I had saved and then downloaded the alternate installer mention, but no luck. Any suggestions?

I can't find were to start a new thread; and since my question is relevant, here it is: I have been using LW's free version for about a year with no problems I couldn't solve. So I decided to upgrade and pay for the pro version. When I click on "Get Limewire Pro" I get this message: "There is no editor configured for PHP?24 files. Do you want to save Lime Wire » Download LimeWire to a file?" I clicked on "Yes" and it was saved as "pro.php" I looked at it in Notepad and realised that it's an html file so I opened it with FrontPage but since then I'm unable to download the upgrade file or even to pay for it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave *******an

Try this: Install Java first. Use the JRE offline installer & remove any old Java versions from your computer before you install this one.
Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5

Once you've got Java installed, intsall LW & make sure to use the offline installer (not the recommended one).
Lime Wire » Download LimeWire

If things still won't install, try using the 'other' installer...see the link below;)
Installing using the 'other' installer

I never said I had a problem installing

I said LW would not allow me to pay for the upgrade.

You idiot. Obviously, you never even read my question because your "reply" bears absolutely no relationship to anything I wrote.

You may not realise this but nobody has bothered to reply to your problem yet, and guess what it looks like nobody will now.
