I had no problems downloading Limewire, but on installation setup, I get a message "Could not open import file for splittet files." Any ideas? Is this just a case of Vista being lame? Thanks for any help

If you're using Kaspersky, try pausing it before installation. See this thread for more info (click on link): "Could not open input file for splittet files"

And if that doesn't work, there are other fixes to try in the longer version of that thread here (click on link): "Could not open input file for splittet files"

I downloaded the newest version recently which was the file "LimeWireWin.exe", but when I click on it to open and install, nothing happens. The little hourglass shows up for about 3 seconds, then nothing happens. What can I do to fix this? What am I doing wrong? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.... Thanks for the help.

Try right-clicking the installer & choose Run as Administrator. If you have the online installer from LW site, then try the offline installer Select your LW version

What system are you running? Did you try this technique: Reinstallation Technique :) Might need to set to Run as Admin, also might need to change compatibility mode. ;)
