Upgrade LW now gives DOS blue screen!!
 

. . . . . . "If it ain't broken don't fix it " . . . Well, I upgraded the working copy of LW basic on my Win98SE PC to the latest 4.9.23 basic as recommended. However now all I get is the dreaded Windows blue screen everytime I try to run the program, tried some of the fixes sugested somewhere else in these postings ( updated java, deleted .limewire, uninstalled/reinstalled LW, etc) but still cannot get back online. All other operations like browsing the internet, Emailing, Etc. work ok.
How can I re-install the previous version of LW?
Any suggestions anyone?

check out your drivers. ATI and NVIDIA graphic card drivers sometimes seem to have problems with java.. read a few stickies labeled: MAJOR TOPICS for X issues you can find HELP ANSWERS HERE

but untill we get some info on your setup, i can only deduce this much.

BSD is generally hardware related; be it graphic cards or drivers, etc. Examples:
