fails to install  I have tried both ways to install this software and I get the same message either way, "This installation is corrupted. Please download and install limewire again." Any hints on how to correct this problem??? Many thanks, Niki |
Your registry probably needs a good clean out. May I suggest you do these things: 1. Downld the Java installer to your computer, then install it (don't install Java over the net!) Find it here: Java 1.5 (take the JRE) - click on link 2. Downld 'Other' version of LW & unzip it: See Here about "Other" version (click on link) http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml |
hello. i have windows vista home basic operating system & i went to the official limewire site to download the application. the download went through however the installation will not. everytime i attempt to install it a safe mode screen comes up and states that there is "not enough memory to fit it". i've never had this happen before - been using limewire for several years on different pc models & this pc is fairly new so i can't imagine why it wouldn't have the capacity to hold limewire. The Hard (C) drive holds 65GB with 45GB of free space left; there's also a recovery drive which holds 10GB with 6GB of free space left. Currently the RAM is 502 MB now all of this is mumbo jumbo to me - i just want to know how i can resolve this issue. please help me! Thanks, Jscota |
