Default i need help

i had limewire for a long time and i clicked on update to the new version, but when i installed it it said download the latest java software, i did but when i clicked on the limewire shortcut on my desktop, it said please install the new version of jave, and i have no idea what to do, i need help!

anybody? please help, i installed a replacement program for the time being and its a peice of crap compared to limewire

1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire & see if that makes any difference. 2. If not, then uninstall your Java using your add/remove programs control panel & re-install following the instructions in the above link.

ok well i tihnk it worked a little, but now i need the java runtime environment update so its 1.5.0, i only have the 1.4.2

I notice these posts are from '05 so there may be a different version but I need to download JAVA again.If someone could help, that would be great

Get the Offline Java installer here Download Java software from Sun Microsystems

If you need Java 1.5 instead of java 1.6, then install Java 1.5 (take the JRE) but always use the offline installer where possible.

At least with Java 1.6, issues can occur where you have previous versions of Java installed so java 1.6 won't work properly or at all. In those cases it's best to remove all versions of java using the add/remove programs control panel & reinstall java.

Angry I already did all that and it did not work

I already did alllllll thattttttttttttt..nothing works I deleted it allllllll and then I went and found all of it again and re downloaded it

IT has been at least 7 months of this crap/HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
