Java Freezing on install

Hi,

I suspect reading through the forums, that my problem is not new.

I have followed all the help ideas, yet still I can't load LimeWire Basic. Does anyone have a full proof method to make this work ?

I was going to download the Pro version but am hesitant to if I can't get the Basic version to install completely.

The version of Java that I have is;
Java 2 Runtime Enviroment Standard Edition v1.3.1_16
