installing limewire
 

ok this is really strange. every time i go to install lime wire a page openes up really fast and then closes and nothing happens. can anyone tell me what im doing wrong? it isnt my firewall because iv checked it and its allowinng it through. can anyone help?

Also check any AV programs you have b/c some may be preventing the installer or program from opening. Some AV type utilities will have an option to allow certain programs to be excepted. I would also recommend you install Java 1st; links for Java can be obtained here: Fixes for Limewire point #1.

Also, I would recommend you downld the "offline" LW installer so the installer is not connecting & installing over the net. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

BTW make sure you don't have 2 active firewalls as that can cause problems. Remember XP has its own firewall.
