 LW installer never finishes Hi all, I'm new to the forums  I've been trying to install LW and it's just not working. I downloaded the online installer and when I launch the installer it zooms along at a speedy 30kbps (with my 56k  ) and then anywhere from about 60-95% it just stops. I have Java 1.4, Windows XP and I use the firewall that comes with Windows.I'm currently downloading the offline installer that was linked to in the sticky thread. Is that the newest LW or an older version? Thanks for any help guys   |

 Yep "offline" installers sounds best for you for both LW & Java. The offline installer is the same version except you downld the entire installer. The other one installs many files over the net which I suspect would cause you problems. You need at least Java 1.4.2 if not Java 1.5 You can get Java JRE from point #1 here: Fixes for Limewire
