 Error occuring while removing prev versions this is the copy of the error. It gets to, removing previous versions of limewire .. then The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, failed download or virus. You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch ( NOT RECOMMENDED ) ive download the installer a couple time, both the online and offline installer , im not sure if i have a damaged disk because other installers seems to work (installers outside limewire) and , i have used a virus scan that shows no evidence of a virus. And, how would i use the/NCRC command line switch ?? any other ways to help me solve this problem? i have other versions of limewire installed, and they work fine ,im currently using 4.8 and tried to upgrade and it has failed.. and i was wondering, if u do not have previous versions of limewire, does the installer auto skip that checking process, so, i can uninstall the other versions manually. | Normally, the installer will uninstall the other version of LW at the beginning of the installation process. That's unless it's a version earlier than 4.4 or 4.2 (can't remember which. These earlier versions need to be removed using the control panel>Add/Remove Programs or for the international version there's an uninstaller within the program folder.) To manually remove LW, go to Start menu>Programs>LW>Uninstall. You'll also find this uninstaller within the program folder. Might be wise to search your computer to see how many LW programs are listed. You might have a version earlier than 4.8 you weren't aware of.

| Okay, ill check, but, my installer just got ****** over, that error screens pops up before it even tries to install.. i just detected win32.parite virus.. i removed it. but .. that virus ***** me over .. my games crash and all cuz of it .. i think it cuz its spreaded by my nero .. anyway.. went off topic .. but okay.. |
