Default Problem installing java!!!

hi, ive been using limewire for a long time now and i think its great. ive never had any problems with it. but recently i built my own pc and im tryin to install limewire and when it gets to installing the java it just stays there and doesnt go any farther.

can sumone help me???

You should install the java before trying to install Limewire.


Also download the installer for Java and install from the installer rather than online. This link should help. Although it is an old post.

sorry bout that last post peeps. i should of had a harder think about it, cause i just built this pc. i forgot to install java onto the actual system. :b. it works now.lol

For the computer-illiterate, like myself, why can I not find any mention of "JRE" on the site to which that link sends me? Which of the various options on that Java site is the proper one?

Good question ... although searching JRE on the Java site will give you plenty of results. I shall come back to your other post later.

OK I retract my last post. JRE is mentioned in the pages linked! I think we are both blind Both are listed 2 items down. You may need to try both of them, uninstalling Limewire before the second try if the first one doesn't work.
