Default Help...Not Sure if Pro is Running

I tried the free version for a week than decided to go with PRO and I d/l and paid for it. When I went to install the Pro version it asked if I wanted to overwrite existing Limewire that it found and I clicked yes.

Question is how do I know if PRO is running?

Go to Help menu > About LW & it will show you. Shows About LW Pro (click link for sample)

Also, if you click the Connections tab, you'll see you're connected to 5 UP's. Basic only connects to 3 UP's. You'll also notice you can downld from 10 sources instead of 8 that basic offers.

If you were using Basic, then after opening there'd be a message at the bottom or a popup window asking whether you want to update to pro.

Thank you. I had checked the help menu and it didn't say anything about pro. I checked it again and no luck.

Do you think I should have uninstalled the free version first?

What do you reccomend?

I;m thinking maybe I got scammed. I tried reinstalling several times but still getting non-pro version.

Does this look like an official response?

The price is right! But the link isn't! (not if you have bought pro) If you bought pro, customer support will send you a link to your personal downld pro page. Check your email. You can also check via your Credit card co. See who it was billed to. If it's not Limewire.org then who is it?

If we find it's not LW, then please tell us who it was so I can add it to this list Known Scam Sites & you can report it here http://www.ifccfbi.gov Please take action if we find this is a fraud!!! The FBI will seek them out!

BTW if you can't log in here with the email you registered with then you prolly were scammed: click here This is your vital test. I'm sure you'll come thru fine!

If you do get your personal pro downld page, please bookmark it for future. Generally that's control + D.
