![]() Hi everyone - The first time I tried installing LimeWire, everything went smoothly, except that Java was unable to install. So I went to the Java website, installed the latest software, but LimeWire was still unable to run. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it many times, but to no avail. I've tried countless remedies that I've read on this forum, but LimeWire simply won't run. This is the error message I keep getting when I click on the shortcut: "LimeWire was unable to load the Java Runtime Environment. Please download and install a newer version from http://www.java.com" If it helps at all, I have Windows XP Professional and Norton Anti-Virus and Norton Personal Firewall. During each installation, I've been deactivating both the Anti-Virus and Firewall software. I'd appreciate any advice! |
