I had limewire on my computer working fine & then it started having problems. It was removed & now when I try to reinstall it I am having problems. It installs fine but when I go to open it I get windows error: Program_name has caused and error and must be closed.

I tried doing the work around that microsoft gives but nothing.
Any ideas on how to get me up and running?

Did you sort your problem out? It sounds to me like you removed LW using the add/remove control panel which is the WRONG way to uninstall LW. LW has its own uninstaller. Start menu, Programs>LW>Uninstall.
If you reinstall LW, it will uninstall any previous version at the beginning of the installation process. Otherwise, get Crap Cleaner (click on link) Then after cleaning up the registry, then try reinstalling.

Also make sure you have plenty of space to save downlds & all your drives are defragmented.
