Another Corrupted File Problem Ok so here's the deal. When I download the online or offline installer from limewire, i get a corrupted file error after limewire is unpacking files. Then I saw that the download servers are from FileFront. So I tried to download an old version (4.4.9) and the latest release, still corrupted. Now I am thinking its my computer, though I still get a warning from my antivirus that safesurf has been blocked. So I am not sure if its my box or the file itself. Here's my specs: OS, Windows XP CPU, AMD Athlon XP 2400+Ghz Memory, 1.5 GB Graphics/Video Card, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 Connection, Cable ISP, COX LimeWire Version, NONE Java Version, Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_06-b05) Firewall, Panda Firewall included in Panda Titanium Antivirus Antivirus, Panda Antivirus Experienced Limewire User P.S. I have already uninstalled all traces of limewire, including directory and hidden windows files, and uninstalled java. |
Safesurf is the problem. BTW filefront is the forum so I don't know why you got that message. It has nothing to do with what you downld thru LW. Search the word Safesurf on the forum or google & you'll get an understanding. What's more, COX is reknown as an anti-p2p ISP. Nice mixture, Cox & safesurf. |
