There's only one way to find out. But you'll need to delete the .limewire folder 1st, otherwise LW 4.10 will continue to use it.

well what do u know.. i guess since they call those upgrades then there WAS something wrong with their older version like i said.. anyways thanx for the suggestion.. problem solved

it even accepted a few of the preference files from the older version that i overwrote so i didnt even have to set everything up again
