paid subscription and lost

I paid $35.00 for a lifetime subscription to limewire. Computer crashed and lost lime wire now asking me to pay 18.88 more. No way already paid 35.00.

wondering why February 15th, 2006 04:46 PM

By the sound of it you got your version of Limewire from a scam site....
There is no lifetime subscription, Limewire basic is free and the Pro costs 18.88US and thats for 6 months of free updates...
I would suggest you get onto your CC company and tell them of this company and that you have been scammed....;)

DID YOU GET ANYWHERE WITH YOUR CONCERN, I HAVE THE SAME CONCERN I PAID ABOUT £35 AND WAS GIVEN A NUMBER TO ACTIVATE PRO AND IT WORKED , BUT NOW I HAVE LOST THE ORIGINAL PROGRAM DUE TO COMP CRASHING AND THE LIME WIRE SITE SAYS IT DOES NOT RECOGNISE MY EMAIL ADDRESS, HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN THEY SENT ME THE ACTIVATION NUMBER, HOW DO YOU EMAIL LIME WIRE DIRECT?

Sorry but there is no activation number for LW Pro if you got it from the official site you just go to the Pro download page they gave you when you paid the $18.88 and download LW Pro it does not have to be activated. Sounds like you were scammed

Lost subscription

I paid the full ammount for Pro Membership for Life. I cannot upgrade so decided to get my money back. Tried to Email but no replies so I tried to reload and try again but no success as it keeps going to Pay Pal site to request payment. Still no replies for getting my money back. Is this a Scam?

There's no life membership. Pro costs US$18.88 for 6 months of upgrades & email support. The only place to get the official versions of basic (free) & pro is www.limewire.com

Contact your bank/CC company & have the transaction cancelled. There should be a department that deals with scams/fraud. Maybe check with them, they might advise you to cancel your card.

Good luck:)
