pro upgrade

i have just bought basic and also paid for and upgrade to pro with this purchase. i have downloaded the pro codec but cant update my basic version. it also doesnt recognise my e-mail address as used for purchase. how should i upgrade??? please help!

Where did you buy your LimeWire? The official basic is free. the official Pro costs $US18.88 for 6 months of free upgrades & email support. The only official site is www.limewire.com

Sorry but you've been scammed. First thing you have to do is contact your CC company & cancel the transaction. There's usually a department that deals with scams/fraud. There's a lot of info & advice here

I wouldn't put much faith in the codec pack & definitely not in the spyware protection. Spybot is a good, free program. Google it It's up to you whether you want to keep using the basic LW that you have. I wouldn't, it may not be a clean version. You can download the latest basic from the site I gave you earlier. Try it out, see if you like it & then later on you can decide if you'd like to upgrade to Pro. There's really no point in going straight to Pro, best to sort out any teething problems with the free version first
