Go to the Java Icon at the bottom of this post click on manual install. On the right hand side of the page click verify install and verify your Java install. What did it say.?

No I was just checking on which version of Java you had. Are you still getting the same error message when you try to install LimeWire.

the java isn't giving me an error message at all. It starts to load fine and i think its going to work, but then it just stops and like freexes at opening download window. So then I don't touch it thinking it loading, but if I let it run and a window of something else goes up it just kind of leave its image on the lime wire load screen when I close it. Or if I double click it the load screen goes blank, or it will just go blank after a while. I was wonder if I could try and older version of lime wire like version 8 its the last one I used to have that worked.

Well that means your Java install is corrupt. For some reason when you are uninstalling Java you are not getting it completely uninstalled. The next step would be to uninstall Java then edit your registry. But the truth is you have been having a little bit of a hard time trying to follow my instructions. And I do not fell comfortable giving instructions for going into the registry. If you make one mistake in there good bye Windows. Perhaps someone else can see something I have missed.
