Default blue screen!!

hi all i am new to this forum and just cant get limewire to open,i went to limewire .com and used the offline installer,limewire seemed to open all the files etc,then when it said "run limewire now" i get a blue screen with this error code error:06:0000:0000ff02 and i have to close the application any ideas??

Update your Java to the 1.6 beta, http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp JRE "Offline" version which is a 15.72 MB. But use the Add/Remove control panel to remove all other java versions before you install it.

Also, delete your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

Depending on which graphic card you have, see these links 1. The way to fix the Blank screen on startup,
2. GeoForce 3D setting, _ 3. click LW icon & it begins to initialize but then stops and nothing happens re: Graphic card setting!

When you say a blue screen the computer doesn't reboot does it?

ok done as u asked but i spotted this at java download page??

Java SE 6 is not currently supported for Windows 98 nor Windows ME. ?

i have windows Me?

no pc does not re-boot but closes limewire and i get the blue screen,ive just deleted lw folders etc

Then reinstall Java 1.5 with the offline version Java 1.5 (take the JRE)
