Angry Uninstall Limewire 4.10??

Hey

I downloaded LW 4.10 earlier today. It didn't work too well for me and I don't want it anymore, so I tried to uninstall it. I went to start/limewire/uninstall, and it worked but when I went to program files it was still there so I right-clicked and hit delete and this message came up "Cannot delete clink.jar: program is being used by another person or computer". I closed everything and tried it again, same result.
Then I reinstalled it and everything, tried your Add or Remove Programs thing, but it remained in program files. Like you said I tried uninstalling Java, but that was unsuccessful also. I really want this program off my computer soon and I'm not too computer savvy. Any help would be much appreciated.
Also, it has been automatically importing all the songs and videos I download into iTunes and I don't want those in there anymore either. Thanks

skibum89,
If you are running MS Windows, try rebooting your PC... during the reboot hit <F8> during the reboot. a screen should come up allowing you to select "Safe Mode" startup. select that and then when the boot completes, go to the directory where the file is, delete it. Good luck.

I tried hitting F8 during reboot with no success. I believe I'm running a somewhat new version of ms windows xp. I think it's the professional version. I still have not had any luck. I did however get the songs and videos out of itunes, so i'm halfway there. Anymore help would be very helpful, Thanks. Also, is there a way I can put it into safe mode once its logged in? WHen during reboot do i press F8 because I just pushed it throughtout the whole process. I tried the whole process probably 5 times.

I realize this is a month late, but the same problem happened to me this morning. If you went thru the uninstall and still cand delete the directory, check your sys tray. I still had a little green Limewire icon sitting there. Left click on it hit close or exit and delete the directory again. Worked for me.
