Have been a limewire user for nearly 2 years now, and so far, havent had any problems that i couldnt sort out for myself. In fact,,,, i didnt even know that this forum existed,,, so am delighted to join up,, and hopefully be able to give my support and help to new users,,, If i can help,,, i will !!

However,,, i have recently upgraded to the latest version and have a small problem that i hope someone can help me with.

After successfully upgrading,,, i now have 2 desktop icons for limewire. The old one ,, and the latest version. To avoid confusion, i want to remove the old limewire icon,, but everytime i have tried to delete it i get an error message

" CANNOT MOVE FILE. CANNOT READ FROM THE SOURCE FILE OR DISK "

Does anybody have any ideas how to get shut of this unwanted icon ?????
Would reallly appreciate some advice,,,

install the old limewire again and when it finishes delete the icon and ater that uninstall the old and install the new one again.

Thanks for the advice,,,,,but jeeeeezzz,,,,surely there must be an easier way to delete an unused icon ???

It does seem like a lot of messing around,, besides,,, when i installed the latest version,, the installation procedure deleted the previous version from my pc !!!!! how do i re - install the old version if its now gone ???

Managed to find the old download page,,still had it bookmarked,,
