What's the theme? I don't get it.

Install the JRE from the link I left before. Themes are skins. Have you changed skins for LW? Did you delete the LW preferences folder when LW was fully closed (ie check in task manager to make sure it's not still running)? The prefs folder's not always called .limewire, that's the old location of the folder.
Newer versions have the prefs at C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\LimeWire. It's a hidden folder, so you'll have to show hidden files & folders to be able to delete it.

Are you looking in the Advanced section of options? You'll have to click to expand Advanced & then you should see System Startup.

I did everything you said.. There is no folder in the Application Data. And the Java thing didn't work.

And Limewire might have been open when I deleted .limewire.. But it was deleted.

Something has gone wrong when you deleted the preference folder.

Try Uninstalling Limewire through Start>Programs>Limewire>Uninstall. Then make sure that the prefs. have been deleted in both locations. Maybe even do a search for Lime after you done it and delete anything to do with Limewire.

Then download the offline installer from www.limewire.com and install

BTW the limewire prefs are in a hidden folder, so you have to be able to see the hidden folders

whythefUUCK August 18th, 2006 05:15 PM

Hey do one of you guys have AIM or MSN? This would be a lot easier.

Yeah the same message.

I have, but I'm also all out of ideas on what to try next so why bother

whythefUUCK August 18th, 2006 05:26 PM

What else can cause it? Limewire has always worked.

Sleepless August 18th, 2006 05:37 PM

I'll try to get someone else to have a look
