hello! i am having problems installing the new version of lw. i had the older one, and i tried to upgrade. I downloaded it successfully but now i cannot find/open it. I tried to install it again, but it says i have an older version of lw open, but it is not in my system tray or any of my programs. The older version has been uninstalled. Any help would be great! Thank you!

Try pushing ctrl+alt+del. That will bring up the taskmanager. Check there under programs if you see Limewire. If you do, then close it.

If not then try uninstalling limewire through Start>Programs>Limewire>Uninstall

Then make a windows search for lime. Delete anything that shows up that is associated with limewire (except for older installers that you have saved)

Then download the offline installer (not the recommended one) from www.limewire.com to your desktop and install
