Default Trying to Burn film onto dvd

Hi There
I have downloaded a film from limewire which plays fine in Windows Media Player but when I go to burn it this message come up
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."
What does this mean???
Thanks
