![]() Hi, When installing, Limewire asked me what type of internet connection I have - T1, Modem, Cable/DSL, or T3 or higher. I have no idea - how do I find out? (I couldn't find it in Internet Options or Phone and Modem Options in the Control Panel.) I have broadband, but I'm not sure what speed it is. At the time I chose 'Modem', but I don't know if that's right. And if it's wrong, can I change it in Limewire or will I have to re-install it? Thanks. |

![]() Do a speed test (with only your browser open) http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?more=1 These couple of posts below explain a bit about speeds & should help you to set your speed in LW. You can change your speed by going to tools > options > speed. Click Apply & Ok to save any changes. No need to reinstall ![]() http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...34&postcount=5 http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...24&postcount=6 There's some good info in the thread below, about setting up your LW for best performance.
