![]() ok, so i had limewire basic installed ,downloaded some music and videos,no prob. then the next day tried to log on got error report i have a corrupted file during install. ok cool unistalled LW,went to site began install basic everthing fine untill i get to choose system to use which i have win xp, no firewall enabled, click on windows (recomended) nothing tried the other offline install, nothing? also i noticed trying to click on like highlighted areas,links, nothing? would appreciate some help .thanks. Do i possibly have a virus and if so how do i correct the problem,thanks |

![]() First of all, I'd reckon using the LW offline installer to install the program. And second, before installing it, make sure that the old one is completely uninstalled including the preference folder. Read here on how to delete this folder (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420 If necessary (after uninstalling LW) search for all remaining files on your system using "limewire" as search query and delete them. ![]()
