Go to the Java site & download the "Offine" installer which is a 15.74 MB download. Install it before LimeWIre. Java 1.5 (take the JRE)
Choose Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9
The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications.
Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language which is 1st box in install options.

ie: Cancel your present LW installation.

Cool You might try this too!

If you haven't got limewire to work for you (java install prob.). While the "installing java, please wait" thing is going on, go to start-control panel-add/remove programs and see if the java environment is installed. If it is, go to the task manager (ctrl.alt.del) and then go to processes. look for the process running called jstub.exe or something like that. End it! ("end process" button when that process is highlighted). Limewire will continue to install and that should be all there is to it!
FYI: I read this on the limewire-tech support page.

Hope it helps!
