![]() Hello I would like to ask all you computer literate people out there for help. My sister has been using limewire for a long time and then it crashed so she went to add and remove programs and removed it she then downloaded it and uninstalled it a couple of times. The last time it crashed I put limewire on a disc for her and it still didnt work, now when she opens it it says that there was an error and that she downloaded corrupted files and to try installing again which she has time and time again ![]() Any help would be muchly appreciated. The simpler you could explain it the better. Thanks Kristie |

![]() She could update her Java using the offline installer (the latest JRE is update 9). There's a link in point 1 of this thread... Fixes for LimeWire She should remove her old version of Java (add/remove programs) before installing the new version. She could also delete her LW preferences folder when LW's closed. That's points 2 & 3 above. *The prefs folder's hidden, so she'll have to view hidden files & folders to be able to see it. Then she should reinstall LW but make sure to use the offline installer. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml Uninstalling LW through add/remove programs is not the way to do it. This can cause problems. The way to uninstall is via start > all programs > limewire & then click on LW & use the uninstall option ![]() |
