error message about router unable to conect this is a ticket in progress with limewire anybody else having this problem ? At the moment the router is configured correctly and set to allow UPnP connections. I have confirmed that this works by adding a laptop onto the network, which connects through the router flawlessly. To ensure that it is not the router I have also manually setup port forwarding, although this should not be necessary. To make things worse, I am unable to get into any of the program settings as per your instructions because of the error message that keeps coming up. It means that it is always on top and stops access to any of the menu items. The only way to stop the program is through task manager. Apart from this being very bad practice, it means that I cannot do anything with the software until the problem is sorted and I cannot sort the problem until I can access the software, meaning that I am completely stuck. The website that you sent me was not any use at all because I have already setup all of the settings. |
Can you answer these please System details - help us to help you (click on link) BTW port forwarding for a particular port ONLY works for the computer it was set from. So only one computer would be able to use that port forward setting. If you wanted to port forward for a 2nd computer, you'd need to do a separate port forward setting from that computer, & I also believe it'd need to be a different port if both could potentially be using at the same time. |
ill forward this to my mate whos setting my opc up for me and see what he thinks.. cheers mark |
When port forwarding is done, it relates to the ip of that particular computer. A computer with a different ip address will not be able to use that same port forward rule because the id (ip address) doesn't match. This is most applicable on a network. Since all computers on a network will have a different address. eg: router address: 10.0.0.1, computer #1 address: 10.0.0.3, computer #2 address: 10.0.0.4, etc. |
we did try by setting up different ports for each pc...the thing is..this worked before my pc was rebuilt through the router..and all the settings are the same as before.....and why cant i get rid of the error message that comes up...due to this i cant access the options tab on sharepro 360..and i have to control/alt/delete to close the whole thing down. |
I wouldn't have a clue about sharepro 360. They are listed here Known Scam Sites (click on link). A rough copy of a much earlier version of LW. Except LW doesn't contain spyware, etc. What did sharepro 360 support tell you? Try all of these steps: Fixes for Limewire. But make a note of important settings. |
cheers my friend 360 supports answer to everything is uninstall re-install......i think this one will have stumped them...... |
ok this is weird...i have installed a version of limewire a friend had 4.12.3 as soon as i loaded it up it conected with no problem what so ever...... 360sharepro still wont connect.....in baffled but not worried as im back up and running again (for the time being) |
