Try this ... Uninstall LW using the Start menu > Programs > LW > Uninstall.
Remove your LW preferences folder as described in the fixes for LW.
Then use the Add/Remove control panel to remove ALL versions of Java listed. Then reboot computer. Then download the "Offline" Java installer which is about a 15 MB download; http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp. Then install this offline Java.

Then follow instructions here Download ‘Other’ version & simply unzip & use!.
