Default How can you restore audio files that were recently deleted?

You see, I wanted to delete some of my audio files to get just a little bit more of like disk space and stuff.
and i thought that even though i deleted the audio files on limewire, it wouldn't affect the music on my iTunes.
boy was i wrong!
now, im really regretful?
how can i restore the files?
[besides re-downloading]

thanks.

Hello,

I am new here and not sure exactly how to utilze the forum, but I have a major problem with my LimeWire Software that hopefully someone can help me with. I do not know how to post new messages, so I looked for a problem that seems fairly similar to the one I am currently having.

Recently I opened the LIBRARY of folders in my LimeWare program only to find all of the FILES that were located on my DESKTOP. Well I became fearful of having to share those files, some which are highly confidential so I clicked on the red X (DELETE BUTTON) inside the LIBRARY.

Well.....to my total dismay, I found that not only were the files deleted from the LIBRARY, they automatically disappeared from my computer's DESKTOP as well. I have no earthly idea on how to recover those files and place them back onto my desktop. A couple of the files are major important and must be recovered immediately before the new year comes around.

Can anyone help me with this problem? A brief detailed list on how to recover these files would be more than helpful for me. I tried looking in my Recycle Bin, but alas my files were not there either. Please tell me I have not lost my files forever or I will be just too sick to my stomach!

Thank you all so much for your help and support. I look forward to receiving a speedy response and praying very hard that someone will have the right answers for me. Private emails will be more than highly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Tiffany

There's some file recovery advice in the sticky below (I think a few people have had success with the Restoration utility)
Deleting files from LW library - Don't!! File recovery advice

You can change what files are shared (yep...don't share your desktop!) within LW's tools > options > sharing.
