Default Can't find Java.

Hi all. I rebuilt an old computer and have Windows XP Pro running on it. Have downloaded the lates Java (1.5 build 10 I think). Have tried downloading the latest Limewire and tried to install. Got error message about cannot find Java, download Java. Have tried different versions of Limewire and keep getting the same message. Can't find Java. Have tried Lord of the Rings Fixes without luck. Any other suggestions?
Yes, Limewire un-installed between different versions. Have even tried older versions of Java. No luck.

Have you tried downloading the offline installer for Java....
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp
Make sure it saves to your programs folder...

You also might want to make sure that any of your security isn't stopping the downloads....

Have you tried going to the controll panel and uninstalling all versions of java then going to program files and deleteing the java folder.
