cannot play music from the libary

I recently downloaded a file with a virus contained in it and now i cannot access any of my previous files i have downloaded.. an error message appears saying "limewire will not launch the specified file for security reasons"

please help.

oh and i tried to uninstall LW and install it again but it says "LW is currently running check the taskbar" and its not in there

What type of files are you referring to?

How did you uninstall? The correct way would be to use LW's uninstall feature... either through the Start menu or through the folder that contains Limewire.

the files are mostly mp3 all of them are songs and the way i uninstalled it was through the control pannel
