![]() Hey guys, I am a long time limewire fan, and recently i got a desktop due to my laptop's inability to handle anything. So, I download Limewire and I have no problems whatsoever. Anyway, a few months later i get Norton Antivirus protection and it deletes some of my limewire stuff. So I decide to just delete it and redownload it from the site. However, when I get to the "Limewire 4.12.11 Setup" Window it begins to have problems like, "Error opening file for writing C:\Program Files\LimeWire\COPYING". I do not consider myself computer saavy in the least, and I would appreciate some help. I'm sorry if its something that can be easily fixed and I just couldnt figure it out. Thanks -Civil |

![]() Update your Java. Use the JRE offline installer & remove any old Java versions before you install the new one. http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp Now reinstall LW & make sure to use the offline installer (not the recommended one). http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml If you still have trouble, try using the 'other' installer & see if that's any better. Installing using the 'other' installer ![]() |
