After uninstalling & reinstalling: One or more necessary files seems to be invalid ..

I just uninstalled Limewire from my pc. It kept opening up over and over.
I would exit, close down program and it would keep opening up. Now that I have uninstalled the program I'm getting some kind of error message.
"One or more necessary files seems to be invalid.... It is suggesting I re-install Limewire and go from there. I don't want to do this. Can anyone help me? thanks.

The reason it kept opening up over & over is most likely due to a virus. LimeWire continually Popping up & also Opening at System Startup (click on link)

The reason you are having installation problems are probably due to the way you uninstalled the program. See Errors due to mistakenly uninstalling LW using Add/Remove control panel - what to try now. Read from here onward!
