can't install on Windows 2000 Professional

I get the error message" unable to create driver install instance" I have read the FAQ and downloaded the isscript file and double clicked it, as well as added my self under Dcom security, but it still doesn't work. Now my old Limewire 1.7 is slow and unstable since the new version came out. What am I to do?

I have the same problem (error 1608)
I have tried everything I have seen in FAQ postings (isscript, dcom settings, even w2k updates) with no luck (and I also deleted limewire 1.? so now I am without!)

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

i get almost the same error 1607 and i have done the samething but nothing works for me as well.
