Error 1643

I get an Error 1643: Setup requires a newer version of Winlnet.dll. You may need to install Explorer 3.02 or later.

I am running WinXP and running IE 6.0.
Any ideas?

Running Windows Update and installing the critical and recommended updates may help. Even though you have IE 6, Winlnet.dll may not be updated with the new IE installer and so the error.

Thanks efield - I have all the updates but your reply sent me looking for out of place files and I found an old wininet.dll file in the temp directory that I was loading the update from. How it got there, I haven't a clue
