![]() Is it possible to install Limewire 2.1.3 on Wi***b without having IE installed. the installation process ends with a message informing me that i have to install IE 3.01+. You know there are good reasons not to install IE. |

![]() I am using wi***b OSR2.1 and I DO NOT have ANY ie in my system. Limewire works just fine. I am using 1.6d right now, but I have downloaded 2.1.3 and will be trying it soon. If it tells me it wants any ie, I'll just not use it! Usually, programs want ie 4, so this may be something else, like Java VM or maybe not even that. What service packs have you installed? wi***b OSR2.1 will take up to service pack 3. |

![]() i installed the OSR 2.0 and followed the update instructions from http://www.graphic-locomotion.com/wi***upd.html. I copied the latest version of wininet.dll in the system folder but the same message appears when trying to install limewire. maybe limewire simply checks for IE and cancels installation if not found. |
