Default New computer Windows 7 64 bit LW wont run

I have LW 5.5.9 and I am running Windows 7 Home 64 bit. When I click the shortcut LW tells me it needs Java 6.0 to run. I look at what I currently have and it says I have "Java (TM) 6.0.200 Update 20 (90.5MB).

Does anyone know what the problem is?

I've seen others with similar issue before. Usually it's because you need both 32 & 64 bit java installed on your system, but for some reason the Java site installs one or the other. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/window...tml#post348146

Which version of Java should I download for my Windows 64-bit operating system?
I needed Java Runtime Environment....if you go to the Java site there is a page that has a button that checks to see if your computer has the correct Java installed. Firefox couldn't display some information on the page and it said that I needed plugins. When I downloaded the runtime environment I noticed the plugins were being installed so they happen both at once.

So there's the answer...even though you have the correct update for Java installed you still need the runtime environment downlaod and you get that at the java site. Look for the button that checks your system for the correct installs.
